About Us

Our journey began with a simple goal: Improve our health. We (50-something empty nest parents, married 32 years) found ourselves on a journey/mission: To transform our relationship with food, to eat food grown organically by either local farmers or ourselves, and to enjoy ourselves in the process. We're not purists, but we're strong, confident and enthusiastic.

We are located in the Santa Ynez Valley. Best known as the palatial wine country setting for the movie Sideways.

The backyard farm truly began when we
raised our first baby chicks into layers.
